The modern diet we have today has only been around for about 10,000 years. And if you look at the typical Western or American diet it’s full of processed foods, high fructose corn syrup and refined sugar and salt. And it’s become to the point where being obese or overweight is the norm. I’ve spent alot of time in Asia and there it’s very rare to see someone in that sort of shape.
I naturally like to eat a low carb or keto diet. However, specifically how I like to eat is the Paleo diet. I eat how humans were meant to eat and evolved to eat. We didn’t evolve to eat all these grains and sugar-filled foods that are basically poison to our body.
It’s very simple to follow and I don’t need to count calories because calories control themselves.
If I feel I’m gaining too much weight I fast.
A human being can go a long, long time without food and in modern nations we are very unlikely to die of starvation or malnutrition. Fasting has been recognized by ancient people and in religions as beneficial. And modern science will tell us also a fast can extend our life and be very healthy for us. When I fast I eat one meal a day. Some occassions I eat nothing at all.
When I’m not dieting I eat two meals a day.
Why do I think this diet is best?
Because I always, always lose and have lost fat on it. It’s easy for me to maintain and do (fits my life well). It makes me feel sharper and not sluggish and fatigued.
I actually workout fasted alot of the time because I feel like it gives me an extra edge for some reason.
